As a professional baker, I eagerly count down the days until autumn because it means I can start using my oven without breaking a sweat. It truly is the best time to be in the kitchen; it’s cool enough to cook in comfort, and we’re not yet in stressful holiday-meal-prep mode. If you’re ready to flex those culinary muscles, I’m seeing plenty of early October Prime Day deals on kitchen gear over at Amazon (the super-savings event officially runs Oct. 6 and 7). Of course, the really good deals often sell out, so why not beat the crowds and snag markdowns on brands like KitchenAid, Yeti, Ninja and Breville, to name a few?
Quick Overview
KitchenAid Silicone Oven Mitt, 2-Pack ($11, was $35): Save $24
Yeti Rambler 2.0 Straw Mug, 35 oz. ($29, was $42): Save $13
Ninja Flip Air Fryer and Toaster Oven Combo ($150, was $250): Save $100
Made In Cookware Stainless Steel Frying Pan, 12 in. ($130, was $149): Save $19
Oster Electric Wine Bottle Opener ($20, was $30): Save $10
As someone who hunts for markdowns on the daily, I know a thing or two about what makes a legitimate Prime Day kitchen deal. To save you some time, I’ve gone ahead and rounded up my favorites of the bunch, comparing price histories across the web to ensure there are no bad eggs. And be sure to keep an eye on this space — I’ll be adding new finds throughout the event as more bargains pop up. With that, bon appétit!
Best Prime Day kitchen deals overall

Amazon
Bakers and other folks with soft human hands, behold! A nearly-70% discount on our absolute favorite pair of oven mitts (and we tested a bunch before crowning a winner). These KitchenAid mitts performed well and looked good during testing, and our own Home Editor Elizabeth Berry has owned them for about six months. She loves the soft, quilted polyester lining and flexible silicone exterior, which makes it comfortable to grip pots and pans.
Great time to buy: As little as $11 for the mitts that outperformed all others? Sold! You’ll get the best deal in gray (pictured) as well as tan and black, available now for its lowest price of the year.

Summer might be over, but staying hydrated is a year-round effort. This tumbler is on sale in a smattering of fun colors that’ll make upping your H2O intake more enjoyable. No frills here: just a simple straw-lid design with a condensation-free body to keep your hands dry. You can pop this bad boy right into the dishwasher when it’s time to clean, but even better? It’s on rare markdown.
Great time to buy: We haven’t seen the price on this particular size dip any lower, and considering it’s just as handy for chilled drinks as it will be for keeping your autumnal teas, coffees and cocoas piping hot, we think it’s a good opportunity to grab one for less.

“My one complaint about my air fryer is that it’s not big enough to cook a frozen pizza,” laments Senior Writer Carrie McCabe. “Well, OK, one more critique: It also takes up a bit more room than I’d like. So I’ve got my eye on this one from Ninja this Prime Day. It’s roomy enough for a 12-inch pizza, flips up on its back (let it cool first!) to save counter space and can bake, toast, dehydrate and roast in addition to air frying. One recent shopper said it ‘could be the best air fryer [they’ve] ever had.'” (Psst: My parents own this model and couldn’t be happier with it.)
Good deal: A quality, cook-everything air fryer that can handle pizzas for $150? Sold. We’ve only seen this unit dip a few bucks lower this year, and that was months ago.

Many culinary pros recommend stainless steel cookware, and to ensure you have ample space, opt for a larger diameter, like this 12-inch beauty from our favorite brand. “There wasn’t much not to like about the Made In Stainless Steel Pan!” says our stainless steel skillet tester. “It maneuvered well from the range to the oven and felt balanced while I seared chicken thighs, sautéed onions and deglazed the pan. I also really enjoyed the handle … because it stayed cool on the stove.”
The pan is made from five layers of bonded metal, including aluminum for better heat distribution and retention. According to our tester, that construction helps it produce a deep golden-brown sear, perform well at high temperatures and hold up for years.
Great time to buy: Is this price a bit steep for a single pan? Yes, but stainless steel is also much more durable than, say, nonstick pans, so you won’t have to replace it anytime soon, if at all. This is also the best price we’ve seen since spring.

If you’re starting your holiday gift shopping early (yes, it’s that time of year whether you’re ready to admit it or not), might I recommend the item my parents won’t stop talking about? They host a lot of parties and say this gizmo has made popping open bottles of wine an absolute breeze. It can open up to 30 bottles per charge — that’s a lot of prosecco. Plus, it comes with a foil cutter to remove seals, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing you won’t send any corks across the room? Priceless.
Great time to buy: Speaking of price, this is the best I’ve seen all year — and it rarely goes on sale.
Best Prime Day kitchen deals: Appliances

Ninja
Soup season is here! Not only is this top-seller a blender, but it also doubles as a food processor, saving space in your cabinets — just swap out the bowls depending on what you’re using it for. Meal prep is about to get a lot less strenuous! Oh, and it comes with not one, but two to-go cups so you can take your concoctions out and about.
Good deal: This is its best Amazon price since spring, FYI…

Amazon
An air fryer is just the ticket when you want a hot meal without waiting for the oven to preheat. This compact top-seller heats up quickly and holds up to 20 wings at a time in its square-shaped basket. Use it to dehydrate food, proof bread and even bake desserts.
Great time to buy: With this deal, it’s the lowest we’ve seen it in the past year outside of Black Friday.

Amazon
Like the ever popular Ninja Flip air fryer, this countertop oven also stows away on its side to make more room on your countertop. When in use, it can air fry some chicken, roast potatoes, toast your sourdough, dehydrate apple slices and bake some cookies — and it’ll do it all faster than a traditional oven.
This will give you extra cooking power during holiday meal prep, and come next summer, you’ll be far happier firing this up than dealing with the kitchen-warming power of your regular oven.
Great time to buy: This is an early Prime Day deal, and it’s the biggest discount we’ve seen in months (and one of the best all year).

True story: A toaster oven once saved my Thanksgiving dinner when my full-sized oven decided to break down the week before. Since then, I’ve never been without one of these countertop heroes, and many consider Breville’s to be the crème de la crème. It heats up in no time, and because it’s a convection oven, it has a fan to distribute heat throughout the unit for even cooking and baking. Plus, its 13 (!) cooking functions will have you air frying, proofing, broiling and more.
Great time to buy: This price matches its best of 2026, and it doesn’t go on sale often, so grab one ahead of your holiday meal prep.

Amazon
Think the arrival of cold weather means you’ll have to give up grilling? Fuhgeddaboutit. This indoor appliance allows you to char burgers, hot dogs and veggies in the comfort of your kitchen — and not only that, it also air-fries, roasts, bakes, broils and dehydrates. Plus, it’s got a handy built-in smart thermometer, so you’ll never have to guess if your steak is perfectly done.
Great time to buy: At $100 off, this price matches its lowest since January.

Amazon
Hold the phone — a Crock-Pot that’s, dare I say, cute? This “Design Series” model takes the humble slow cooker to aesthetically pleasing new levels, and with it being the coziest time of year and all, you’ll be inspired to whip up all sorts of comfort food. Think: Braised short ribs, chicken stew, meatballs … even desserts like apple crisp. The locking lid allows you to transport your food without spills, which will come in handy once those holiday potlucks roll around.
Great time to buy: I haven’t seen it on sale for less at Amazon all year, and I predict prices will only go up as slow cooker demand rises during the colder months.
Best Prime Day kitchen deals: Cookware and cooking tools

Amazon
Your autumn arsenal isn’t complete without one of these versatile vessels. From simmering soup to baking bread, it’s a one-stop pot that you’ll be reaching for throughout the fall, winter and beyond. Made of sturdy cast iron, it’ll retain heat and moisture for the most tender braised meats, and its enamel coating makes cleanup a snap. Plus, it’s one of those pretty pieces you’ll want to leave right on the stovetop.
Great time to buy: Even at full price, this Dutch oven is a bargain when you consider how much brands like Le Creuset can set you back. On sale, it’s an even more impressive value, and deeper discounts are rare.

Amazon
Groceries are expensive, and preparing overcooked, inedible food is just money down the drain. Avoid that by taking the temperature of your meats, seafood, baked goods and more with an instant-read thermometer; doing so helps ensure everything is perfectly (and safely) cooked.
Sure, you’ll want to use visual clues to help you determine if your food is done, but you can’t see the inside of a steak or cake, and a kitchen thermometer will help you understand what’s going on below the surface. This popular gadget (over 50,000 were purchased this month) provides a reading in seconds — doesn’t get much quicker than that!
Great time to buy: This price marks its best since spring, and just think of how many over- or undercooked meals it’ll save you…

Amazon
Buying groceries in bulk can save money — but not if you never get around to eating all of the food you bought. Our very own Senior Writer Kelli McGrane, a registered dietitian, recommends using one of these top-sellers to cut down on waste. “If you’re really into freezing meals or ingredients ahead of time, it’s worth buying a vacuum sealer,” she says. “I’ve had clients who’ve saved serious money by buying family-sized packages of chicken at Costco, cutting the chicken into bite-sized pieces, then stashing them in vacuum-sealed freezer bags. Combine with some veggies and seasonings, and you have the foundation for no-fuss slow-cooker or dump-and-bake meals.” This nifty machine can seal 50 bags in 20 minutes, so feel free to stock up on your favorite foods during your next grocery run.
Great time to buy: This is just about as low as we’ve ever seen it on sale for, and when you consider how much food waste it can prevent, it’s a no-brainer.

Amazon
If you’re ready to give that plastic cutting board the chop, bamboo is becoming a popular alternative — and this trio earned a spot on our tester’s list of the best cutting boards she tried. “With three graduated sizes of bamboo boards in this set, it’s kind of a steal,” she says. “The boards feature juice grooves and indented side ‘handles’ that make transporting them easy.”
She also notes that “bamboo is less porous than hardwoods, and more resistant to bacteria, according to the USDA,” and these aren’t one-trick boards: They “moonlight quite nicely as serving pieces and are easy to store when not in use.”
Great time to buy: This price is the set’s lowest in at least the past year.

Amazon
If your nonstick cookware is looking a bit scratched up, this comprehensive set is a solid replacement for a stellar price. I appreciate that the pieces’ slick ceramic coating is made without PFAS and that the non-slip handles offer good grip while keeping things cool. These pots and pans are also oven-safe up to 400°F, and their clear lids allow you to keep an eye on your food while it cooks.
Great time to buy: For the cost of many single pans, you’re getting two frying pans, a saucepan, a sauté pan, a stockpot and three utensils — and this price is as low as it gets.
